The World Youth Transnational Championships is being held in Hefei China. Jeremy Reid is playing in the Australian Under 31 Team and Sue Falkingham is captaining the Under 16 Team.
The main news that I have been getting is that it is really hot and humid and there are a LOT of players. The U16 category has 98 teams! Any country can have more than one team so obviously many of these teams are Chinese.

The Under 31 Team finished 16 out of 19 in the qualifying stage and 7 out of 11 in the B Final.
The Under 16s finished 35 out of 98 in the qualifying and 7 out of 8 in the E Final.
The Qualifying for the various Pairs Championships was held over the last two days.
Jeremy and Seb Wright are running 5th out of 34 pairs in the U31 after 5 of 6 sessions. Damon Flicker and Alex Goss are 15th and Wiwei Qi and Chi Wai Leung are 20th
In the U16 Oliver and Lizzie Brayshaw are running 62nd, Ada Sun and Alex Wu are 74th and Genevieve Hunter and Solcita Lu are 206th out of 254 pairs!
Kate MacDonald and Heath Watkins are in a fantastic 2nd position in the Under 26 category out of 55 pairs.
In the U21 Remco Spencer and Aadhithya Hariharan are the best placed Aussies at 37th out of 89 pairs.
Lara Topper and Jasmine Skeate are the only Australians in the U26 Womens and are running 22nd out of 53.
Final results for the qualifying should be out soon.
