We are pleased that members are making use of our Suggestion Box (one suggestion was to improve the appearance of it!) As a result of this month’s suggestions, a second microwave is being purchased to assist the lunch time traffic jam on Tuesdays and other full day events. If your name is included with the suggestion, we will provide a personal response.
Another suggestion is to reinstate our mentoring program for players keen to improve. If you are willing to be a mentor to an improving player or would like to be mentored, please let committee members Leonie, Sue or me know.
Look out for the date (soon to be announced) for our Balanced Teams event, where pairs with least experience will be matched with the most experienced. This will be a fun event and a chance to get to know other club members.
Our hearty congratulations to Maria Gibbs, who has recently attained the status of GRAND MASTER.

The ABF Online Teams Knockout competition has begun. If you and your partner would like to represent us at any level in a session, please let Sue know. The teams are flexible and can change each month.
It’s not too late to enter the popular Eastcoaster event. You can do this on our website under Coming Events or by asking a director to help.
Other events coming up are our club Swiss Pairs, which will run over two Wednesday mornings - 4th and 11th September and the GNOT Southern final on Sunday September 8th.
Two future dates for the diary are the TBA Spring pairs on Sunday 29th September, incorporating a celebration after play with refreshments and drinks provided by the late Ron Spencer, who left the club funds for this purpose and Saturday November 9th for our 90th birthday celebration, more about that later.
Happy Bridging everyone
Pam
