The 2022 TBA Congress was held at the TBA clubrooms on the weekend of 23-24 July 2022. Saturday was the Matchpoint Pairs with open and restricted events across two sessions and a single session novice event. Sunday was the Swiss Pairs with 28 pairs playing 6 rounds. The congress was well attended with players from the north and south.
The Open Matchpoint Pairs was won by Julie Rhodes and Hugh Grosvenor. Coming equal second were Barbara Giizel and Pam Murphy, and Mardi and John Grosvenor. Full results are available here.
The Restricted Matchpoint Pairs (fewer than 150 masterpoints) was won by Paul Fredheim and Ian Bailey. Leonie Atkins and Janet Bradley came second. Full results are available here.
The Novice Matchpoint Pairs (fewer than 25 masterpoints) was won by Judy and Roger Hooley. Tony Preece and Garry Dazeley came second. Full results are available here.
The Swiss Pairs was won by David Robinson and Phil Beck. Mardi and John Grosvenor came second. July Rhodes and Hugh Grosvenor came third. First place in the restricted category went to Leonie Atkins and Jane Dickie. Full results are available here.
